THIS WAS OUR 17TH C. HOUSE IN SINSANS, A HAMLET IN LANGUEDOC
Sinsans is a hamlet administratively under the village of Calvisson, between Nimes and Sommieres, in Languedoc, just west of Provence. We lived here about 2/3 time for 12 years, from 1999 to 2012. Sinsans has a population of about 350 and zero commerce. It is halfway up a hill overlooking the valley of La Vaunage and is in the middle of an ocean of vineyards.
The stone pillar on the right of the photo is the corner of the 12th century Roman style chapel that was our neighboring building.
